Dalhousie is a cool hill retreat with a bygone colonial charm. Spread out over the five hills of Kathlog, Potreyn, Terah, Bakrota and Bhangora, Dalhousie was founded in the 1850s by Lord Dalhousie.  Rich in colonial architecture, the town preserves some beautiful churches. The marvelous forest trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, springs and rivulets. In the distance, River Ravi meandering its course, adds to the panorama. Mighty Dhauladhar ranges with perennially snow-capped peaks complete the horizon. Khajjiar, known as India’s Mini Switzerland, mesmerizes with its unique blend of meadows, forests, lakes, temples and diverse wildlife make it a must-visit. It’s celebrated for its natural beauty and mythological significance.

Dharamshlala, located in the Kangra Valley, is known as the residence of the 14th Dalai Lama and the headquarters of the Tibetan government-in-exile. The peaceful atmosphere and stunning views of the Dhauladhar Range make it a popular destination for spiritual seekers and nature lovers. McLeod Ganj, a suburb of Dharamshala, is often referred to as “Little Lhasa” due to its large Tibetan population. Day 1
Amb Andaura - Dalhousie
Night Stay : Dalhousie

  • As you reach Amb Andaura by  Vande Bharat, our representative will welcome you and give a quick overview of the tour.
  • Drive by road for about 5 hours to reach Dalhousie.
  • Explore the town’s main market - The Mall Road, it is a good place to shop for  Himachali woollen shawls, Chamba rumals, traditional jewellery, handicrafts and other items.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Dalhousie.

Day 2
Visit Khajjiar, "The Mini Switzerland of India"

  • Today visit  Mini Switzerland of India, Khajjiar ( 1 Hour journey )
  • Explore Dainkund Peak for panoramic views of the surrounding mountains.
  • Visit Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary for a chance to see the rich flora and fauna.
  • Enjoy a leisurely evening exploring the Tibetan Market and Subhash Baoli, Satdhara Waterfall
  • Head back to the hotel in Dalhousie for a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay. You can try local Himachali cuisine at a local restaurant.

Day 3
Dalhousie to Dharamshala Drive

The journey from Dalhousie to Dharamshala - McLeodganj is a picturesque adventure filled with breathtaking vistas and cultural immersion. As you wind your way through the lush greenery of Dalhousie, you’ll be surrounded by towering deodar trees and snow-capped mountains, creating a serene atmosphere that feels like a retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Dharamshala is divided into two halves-  Kotwali Bazar and the skirting markets make up Lower Dharamshala, which makes a dramatic transition in the upper reaches that has thick pine, cedar and Himalayan oak forests around the township of Mcleodganj. With rising altitude the summer temperature between Lower and Upper Dharamshala changes from warm to cool climes.

Day 4
Dharamshala and Mcleodganj Sightseeing | Absorb in the Amazing Views of the Dhauladhar Ranges

  • Wake up early to enjoy the mesmerising views of the sun rising above the beautiful Dhauladhar Ranges.
  • You will be visiting some of the most prominent places like the famous Cricket Stadium, Tea Gardens, Dal Lake, Bhagsu nag Temple and Waterfall, the beautiful Naddi Village, Tibetian Market and different Tibetan Monastries.
  • Later in the evening, return back to the hotel.
  • Overnight stay at the hotel in Dharamshala ( McLeod Ganj).

Day 5
Departure from Dharamshala - Amb Andaura | End of Trip With a Bag Full of Life Time Memories

  • Check out from the hotel and then get ready to travel the scenic route to Amb Railway Station for your onward journey.

6) Any personal expenses or items of personal nature will not be included in the package. Any meals or transfers not mentioned in the itinerary are to be considered an exclusion in the deal.
